A one-day-old -baby thrown away by her mother has been rescued by a good Nigerian at Suru- lere, Lagos.
The Lagos State police public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundyin ,said that,” at about 1:30 pm on April 15, a social worker, attached to a Hospital in Suru-lere reported at Suru-Lere police division that at about 5 am,a one-day old baby boy was seen inside a polythene bag, dumped on the. road by unknown person at Alhaji Masha Road Suru-Lere.
” The baby was evacuated and rushed to Randle General Hospital Suru-Lere for medical attention.
” The baby is responding to treatment. The Divisional Police officer (DPO) and a team from Family Support Unit, visited the scene of the incident while investigation is on-going “.
