More than two months after terrorists attacked a Kaduna-bound train, the abducted passengers have regained their freedom from the terrorists.
A relation of two of the abducted passengers made the disclosure in a post on social media yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah my mum and elder sister have just been released and at the moment in a medical facility receiving medication in Kaduna.
“Thank you for your prayers,” Yusuf Atta, whose relations were among the abducted passengers, said excitedly in a WhatsApp group chat today, Wednesday, June 08, 2022.
It was, however, not clear whether or not all the passengers regained their freedom and if ransom was paid to secure their release.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwa, was yet to confirm the report at the time of this report.
The terrorists had recently issued a seven-day ultimatum to the government to release their children allegedly kept in a Yola detention facility and threatened to start killing the passengers in captivity unless their demands were met.
