AIG Abubakar reads riot act to officer of FCID

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon,Lagos, AIG Yahata Abubakar, has read the riot act to men and officers of the department not to engage in unethical practices or risk his wrath .
The AIG gave the warning during his maiden lecture to sectional heads and familiarisation visit of the 13 sections in FCID Lagos.
He said,” this is to have a close interaction with the sectional heads and the men they suprintends, in order to further enforce the need for the personnel to be professional as I had emphasised in my maiden speech”.
The AIG reiterated the need for the men of the FCID to be professional and up-to-date in the investigation of cases that are assigned to them. He emphasised the need for them to uphold the standard of FCID being the apex investigating branch of the force.
He stressed that disciplinary measures would be metted out to erring officer,who go contrary to the laid down principles of a standard integrity of the detective of FCID ,and the police in general. He emphasised on the importance FCID Alagbon close ikoyi Lagos being the Department where basic investigation apparatus are domiciled and the need for the men of the department to use the presence and the availability of these facilities judiciously to optimally exhibits the professionalism in them.
