Blame National team Coaches for exodus of NPFL Players – Aremu Afeez

IK Start midfielder Aremu Afeez insists that Nigerian players will continue to dump the NPFL in favor of moves abroad because they are underappreciated in the Country.

Afeez who played for Sunshine Stars, Rivers United and Akwa United before moving abroad in 2016 argues that NPFL based players don’t get the right support to grow and even feel undervalued.

In a chat with brila.net the midfielder said the lack of recognition by the Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, even worsens the matter, insisting that there are several players in the league who can hold their own against some of the current players in the Eagles.
