Rangers International advanced to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup after beating USM BelAbeb of Algeria in the second leg of CAF Confederations Cup at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday.
After playing out a goalless draw in Algiers fortnight ago , Rangers needed nothing but a victory to secure their place in the next round of the competition.
With Just two minutes into the encounter Rangers raced in front after Bright Silas beat the Algerian goalkeeper from close rangewith a low drive.
Silas added his second in the additional minutes of first half to give the Flying Antelope halftime lead and killed off any form of fight back from the Algerians.
The second witnessed no further goals as the Gbenga Ogunbote boys defended their two goals advantage to book their place in the next round of the CAF second elite football competition.
