Super Eagles youngster, Samuel Chukwueze got his name on the scoresheet for Villarreal in their 2-0 victory over Spartak Moscow in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Only a victory will guarantee Villarreal finish as the group winner as Rapid Wien and Glasgow Rangers were also in contention for a place in the round of 32.
Chukwueze put Villarreal ahead in the 12minutes with a powerful left-foot drive that made his way into the back of the net through the legs of his marker and past Aleksandar Maksimenko in goal for the Russians, for his first goal in the competition.
Inform striker Karl Toko Ekambi scored the second goal after finishing off a pass from Pablo Fornals to send the club’s fans into ecstasy after a turbulent week which led to the sack of Javi Calleja.
Chukwueze was replaced by former Spanish international Santi Cazorla with 10 minutes left on the clock.
