Collins eager to make Super Eagles debut vs Libya on Saturday

SC Paderborn of Germany defender, Jamilu Collins says he is eager to get his competitive debut with the Super Eagles against Libya on Saturday.

After playing his first match for the Eagles in last month’s exhibition match against Liberia, Collins says he is now eager to get a shirt in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The former Flying Eagles invitee said in an interview with reporters in Uyo that he is determined to make his mark in the green-and-white jersey because it is every player’s ambition to play for his country.
He is now enthusiastic of a key role for the Eagles against Libya in Uyo, from which he believes the Nigerian side will emerge victorious at the end of the match.
Collins added that he is happy to join the national team again, after also being invited last time out against Seychelles.
However, considering that he did not get to play against Seychelles, and only debuted in the non-competitive game against Liberia, Collins says now is the time for him to face the real task of earning his Nigeria caps.
“I want to be part of Nigeria’s quest to return to the Cup of Nations. I want to play against Libya.
“It is the dream of any player worth his salt to be able to play for his country, and to be a winner with the national team.”
