COVID-19 :Nigeria high commission in London closed

The Nigeria High Commission in London has been closed down .
The office will be re- opened after 10 days from Agust 12 .
The closure was caused because two officials who tested positive for COVID-19 and all those who work in the office and associated with them have also gone into isolation. While those who tested positive will be in isolation for a long period of time ,those who associated with them will be isolated for 10 days.

In a Statement by Nigeria High Commission in London, it explained that the head of Immigration Service and two other staff went for a meeting in the home office and they were administered COVID-19 test;while one of them tested negative , another tested positive . The one that tested positive was immediately isolated while the one that is positive would isolate himself for 10 days.
The Statement reads:” In response to this challenge,the mission embarked on testing all officials of the mission,after which another official of the mission tested positive.
“In line with COVID-19 regulations and the need to adhare to rules and regulations of the host Country,the mission will close down for the next 10 days,in order to observe the mandatory isolation of those who were in contact with the affected officials.While the High Commission regrets the inconveniences this may have caused, we solicit for the cooperation of the general public”.
