Eguma influenced my move to Rivers United – Babangida

Former Akwa Forward Babangida Hassan says he joined Rivers United because of the opportunity to play under veteran manager Stanley Eguma.

Babangida to penned a two seasons contract after leaving Akwa United on free following the expiration of his contract.

The attacker disclosed that it’s a dream come true he finally get a chance to play under the Pride of Rivers manager.

“I would have moved to Rivers United from Heartland FC, but the deal was not concluded so I left for Akwa United. I have always been an admirer of Stanley Eguma and I was excited when the opportunity to play under him finally came up,” Babangida noted.

He added he’s aware of the pressure that comes with playing a big club like Rivers United but insists he’s determined to do everything to justify his move to the Club.

“I will do my best to  justify the trust and resources the coach have invested in me. Rivers United is a big club with great ambitions and I am happy and proud to join the team.

The attacker previously played for Giwa FC . Nasarawa United and Heartland Football Club of Oweri in the Nigeria professional football league.
