FC Ifeanyi Ubah captain, Chijioke Alakwe has declared that his target for the ongoing NPFL season is to score double-digit goals and win the league title.
Alakwe who scored for his side in the 1-1 draw played away to Heartland FC in Okigwe equally acknowledged the fact in a chat with brila.net that FC Ifeanyi Ubah had several young players but as the most senior, he is doing a good job in building their confidence.
“My target is to help the team and to achieve my dream of being a top scorer…this season, I’m the oldest player in the team and I keep encouraging them to work hard and make a name for themselves”, he stated.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah were on the brink of relegation last season and were saved by the abrupt end to the league season. However, the tune is more melodious this season as they currently top Group B of the NPFL.
