Flying Eagles to face Senegal in WAFU U-20 final

Nigeria‘s Flying Eagles fought back from a goal down to beat Mali 5-4 on penalties in the semi-final of the WAFU U-20 football competition in Lone, Togo on Friday.

The game ended 1-1 after regulation time, the Malians took the leadin the 12th minute through Sissoko Sambou before Valentine Uzornwafor restored parity for Nigeria a minute after the break.

The game went into penalties as there nothing to separate both side, Nigeria scored all five penalty kicks, while Olawale Oremade in goal for Nigeria saved the last kick of the Malians to send the Elying Eagles into the final.

The Paul Aigbogun tutored boys will now look horns with Senegal who also stopped Niger 4-2 on penalties after they had finished 2-2 in normal time in the final of the billed for Sunday in Lime.
