Former Super Eagles stars Yobo, Oliseh, Udeze make move to unite Ex-Internationals

Former Super Eagles trio of Joseph Yobo, Sunday Oliseh and Ifeanyi Udeze have initiated plans to foster unity and togetherness amongst Ex-Internationals.

 

The trio spoke on Brila FM’s News Headline anchored by Anthony Bekederemo, Former West Brom defender had earlier pointed out the need for togetherness amongst the former players.

 

The guest on the show, Joseph Yobo acknowledged the need for Unity and togetherness has pointed out by his friend Ifeanyi Udeze and the former Captain indicated interest in the situation.

 

Yobo said there is nothing he can do alone, but he is ready to call on senior colleagues who were also Captains of the National team before him to bring the Ex-internationals together.

 

“It is obvious that there is division among us, both in interests and personalities, but I agree that unity will help us achieve whatever goal we want to reach”

 

“We are adults, and I don’t think there’s anyone fighting another for something, Coming together will only do us good and make us achieve one common goal”, Yobo added.

 

Fortunately, in the course of the show, former Skipper and Gaffer Sunday Oliseh was connected via Telephone from his base in Belgium and he was in full support of Unity amongst the former Super Eagles players.

 

Oliseh cited France’ example, using the class of 1998 as his case study.

 

“We can only move forward if we stop seeing ourselves as enemies or competitor”

 

“The French National team of ’98 still meet together till now, and they are the one managing the National team in France.

 

“Look at the way Didier Deschamps won the World Cup for France, He has all the support of his 1998 colleagues, so I’m in full support of coming together.

 

“Let everybody come together for a common purpose”
