Super Eagles Technical adviser Gernot Rohr has finally responded to Libya Chief Coach Adel Amrouch’s comments tagging it has ‘unnecessary’ mind games.
The Franco-German tactician in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comstated that he will not be drawn into the temptation of engaging coach Adel Amrouch in mind games ahead of Nigeria’s next AFCON qualifying tie.
Libya national team coach Amrouch had boasted earlier that he wouldn’t mind playing Nigeria twice in Nigeria and that Nigeria relies on juju to play football.
However, Amrouch in a subsequent interview has apologized for the comments regarding Juju, saying he was only making jokes and he didn’t mean what he said.
Rohr says the Eagles will simply go about their normal preparation and take care of business against the Libyans when the time comes.
Libya top Group E with four points, having thumped Seychelles and picked up a point away in South Africa.
Nigeria, after Saturday’s victory over the Pirates, now have three points but remain in the third spot.
Libya will host their 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Nigeria in Algeria.
