Haruna Garba offers advice to young Nigerian footballers

Gzira United of Malta striker, Haruna Garba has advised young Nigerian footballers to keep their dreams of playing football big, start from small clubs and then work their way up.
Giving this advice in a chat with brila.net, the former Djurgårdens IF of Sweden goal poacher shared his experience of when he dreamt of playing for Liverpool FC of England but eventually had to start with a club in Lithuania before gradually stepping up to Malta and Sweden.
“We all have these big dreams to play for big teams, mine was to play for Liverpool but of His not easy. The thing is, no “big club” will sign you from the top, they usually prefer players from their teens and they have to be exceptional.
The plus is when you play at a top club, you meet a lot of players you can also learn from but it’s a gradual process, you can start from a small club and work your way up.”
Haruna Garba had a stint with Djurgårdens IF of Sweden but made his mark when he switched to Gzira United in the Maltese league.
