Haruna Garba scores again in Malta

Nigerian striker, Haruna Garba needed just 33 minutes to get on the scoresheet as his side, Gzira United beat Pieta Hotspurs 3-1 in a club friendly.

Haruna, 25, played the first 45 minutes and got the second goal for his side in the 33rd minute.

The former Nigeria Olympic Team invitee told www.brila.net’s Babafemi Raji that he was happy to have scored and would be looking forward to score on Wednesday again in a preseason game against Fiorentina of Italy.

“I’m happy to have scored and I really want to be in shape for the new season. I hope to get goals against Fiorentina on Wednesday as well although collective victory is more important to me.”

The league in Malta is scheduled to kickoff next Saturday.
