Ilechukwu predicts tough resurgence for MFM FC

MFM FC will be ready and prove to be a strong contender by the time the League reaches its crucial stage according to head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu.

After Wednesday’s League win over Rangers Int’l FC Ilechukwu said his team is growing stronger with each game but expects it to be a difficult process.

MFM FC currently top group A with six points from three matches and the Coach believes that with good results their confidence will only keep growing.

Meanwhile, Rangers Int’l FC forward Michael Uchebo says he understands he must show fight on the pitch to help the team succeed after an underwhelming NPFL debut for the 28-year-old on Wednesday.

Uchebo told brila.net that he believes the goals will come and he only needs to stay positive. The forward went close twice in the first half against MFM FC but was wasteful on one occasion and a great, point-blank save by the goalkeeper frustrated Uchebo’s effort.

The home side took the lead inside 24 minutes through Adeniji Kabiru and it proved sufficient to hand Rangers Coach Gbenga Ogunbote a defeat in their opening league match of the season.
