ANTHONY JOSHUA has admitted that he will need his “dancing shoes” to deal with a “fast” Alexander Povetkin after he weighed in almost two stone heavier than the Russian challenger.
The WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion defend his belts against Povetkin at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Joshua, 28, tipped the scales at 17th 8lb, over a stone heavier than his opponent who was 15th 12lb.
The British star said: “He’s going to be quick, he’s going to be fast so that is why I have to be sharp on my feet and have my dancing shoes on.
“He’s a dangerous fighter, Youtube shows me that, Google shows me that, history and stats show men that.
“If anyone doubts that tune in on Saturday.”
Thousands of fans turned up at the Business Design Centre in Islington to catch a glimpse of Joshua ahead of his 22nd professional fight.
The next time they will see him is when he walks out at Wembley around 10 pm on Saturday.
