Kano Speaker denies Imposition of Coach Musa on Pillars

KSHA Speaker, Honourable Kabir Alhassan Rurum has categorically denied that he is behind the efforts to force coach Ibrahim Musa back on the state-owned football club, Kano Pillars.

The ongoing squabble concerning the former Kano Pillars coach took a drastic turn for the worse after latest reports indicated that the club have been ordered by the Kano State House of Assembly’s committee on sports to rehire the controversial coach although he is no longer under contract with the 4 time NPFL kings as per ScoreNigeria.

Pillars players meanwhile have met with Kano State Deputy Governor Honourable Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna to express their disapproval with the alleged return of their immediate past coach.

Meanwhile, David Obiozor, former number one shotstopper at the Sani Abacha who is now with Plateau United, has already dragged the same coach Ibrahim Musa to court after he alleged that he [Obiozor] and some other players from the eastern part of the country threw away the 2018 Aiteo Cup final loss to Enugu Rangers after leading the game by 3-0 with less than thirty minutes to play with the flying antelopes winning via penalties.

However, the Speaker Hon Rurum also, left open the door of coach Musa’s return when he stated that the chairman of the sports committee was in a better position to speak on whether or not there were plans to ensure the coach returns to the Masu Gida.
