FC Robo Head Coach Osahon Emmanuel his labelled his opposite number during Wednesday’s NWPL match, Jokodolu Babes Head Coach, Mohammed Ahmed a sore loser.
Coach Emmanuel was responding to allegations made by the visitors that the match officials were biased and cost them in the game.
Speaking after the game, the FC Robo gaffer said Ahmed was a “typical Nigerian”.
The first meeting between the sides in Oshogbo ended 2-0 in favor of Jokodolu and it was not devoid of controversy.
“He’s a typical Nigerian man. I can’t tell you what I saw when we played in their backyard. Their ball boy would keep hold of the ball, sometimes, for as many as 15 minutes, but I never spoke to anybody, it’s not my business. This is Nigeria and maybe some day we’ll get it right.
The Lagos based side dominated the game and were guilty of some poor finishing, although credit must also go to the opposition goalkeeper, Agatha Thompson, who made several brilliant saves to keep them in the game.
“My team tried it’s just that, sometimes, when you put in the right effort you don’t get the right result.
“If we had scored in the first-half the story would have been different; our goalkeeper only touched the ball twice in this game, we were playing in their half all through, but unfortunately we failed to get the finishing right,” Coach Osahon explained.
