President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Delta State born , Lauretta Onochie as the new chairman of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Buhari, in a letter, to Senate President Ahmad Lawan, also announced the nomination of 15 others as NDDC board members.
The president requested the Senate confirm Onochie and other nominees of the NDDC board.
Onochie has been in the forefront of criticising the non performance of the NDDC officials and the wicked manner so projects were abandoned by contractors . The appointment will give her the opportunity to sanitize the Commission and bring to justice all those who ate the money meant for projects, especially on road
