Crime Reporters to elect new Exco Friday

Chairman/chief executive officer,National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Retd.), has congratulated the new executive of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), on the successful election .
CRAN few weeks ago, held its’ election, conducted by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State chapter, which urshered in Mr. Lekan Olabulo of the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers as the President, Mr. Evelyn Usman of Vanguard Newspapers ,Vice president , Niran Odufayo as the Secretary and Adaobi Obiechina of NTA,as the Assistant Secretary.
Others are Chiemelie Ezeobi of Thisday Newspapers , Treasurer, Jimo Taiwo of New Telegraph Newspapers as PRO/ Auditor, and Ismaila Oguntade ,as the Financial Secretary.
In a statement by NDLEA Director, Media and Advocacy, Mr. Femi Babafemi, he noted,” I send you warmest congratulations from the Chairman/CEO, Brig . Mohammed Buba Marwa ( Retd.), on your recent election as President CRAN, along with other members of your executive.
” It is indeed a well deserved election and a recognition of your hardwork and professionalism.CRAN has remained an indispensable partner in the Agency’s quest for drug-free society. Your contribution to sensitization and advocacy efforts has remained invaluable . I hope both organisations will continue to utilize every opportunity to collaborate on our advocacy programmes during your tenure.
” I wish you the best of luck and I am certain you will excel in your new role while wishing you success in your endeavours, please, accept the CEO’s warm regards”.
Olabulo took over from Odita Sunday of the Guardian Newspapers.
