Niger Tornadoes commence Two-week Christmas break

NPFL side Niger Tornadoes has granted the players and officials of the club a two-week break for Christmas and New Year celebrations after an impressive performance at just concluded Ahlan pre-season tour in Kano.

The Chairman of the Club Mallam Gawu made this known to the players and the technical crew after they arrived Minna with their head high from the preseason tournament in the Pyramid city of Kano.

 

Gawu, however, thanked the players for representing well at the just concluded tournament in Kano where they lost to Wikki Tourists in the semi-final after winning three games without conceding any goal.

 

“I will like to commend the players for true sportsmanship and show of skill in the just concluded preseason tournament.

 

“You guys are truly the eleven Tornadoes, the entire citizens of Niger State says well done”.

 

“The governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello also send his congratulatory message to you all,” he concluded.

 

The team is expected to resume January 2nd, 2019, full training to commence January 3rd, 2019 for the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
