Super Falcons forward, Desire Ugochi Oparanozie has stated that the Nigerian women’s team ahead of Saturday’s clash with Equatorial Guinea in the ongoing AWCON in Ghana.
The 24-year-old Striker said the Falcons are aiming to beat Equatorial Guinea convincingly after beating Zambia 4-0 in the last match.
“Our only aim is to win, and not just to win but to win convincingly,” the Guingamp Number 9 told Brila FM’s Ogechukwu Ogwo during a Telephone interview.
Oparanozie also stressed the need for the Football Federation to give the Coach, Thomas Dennerby more time to achieve his objective with the team.
Defending Champions Nigeria and two-time winners Equatorial Guinea will go toe-to-toe in their final group game of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
The Super Falcons are on the brink of progressing to the semi-final, while the Nzalang Nacional are aiming to bow out of the competition on the high after defeats to Zambia and South Africa.
