Nigerian Football Legends and Icons remembered in Tribute by Ex Eagles Star

REMEMBERING PAUL ‘Wonder Boy’ HAMILTON & MY DEPARTED BROTHERS IN THE NATIONAL TEAM OF NIGERIA – Stephen Keshi, Uche Okafor, Wilfred Agbonavbare, Rashidi Yekini, Thompson Oliha, Sam Okwaraji, Pat Okala, Osaro Obabaifo, got bless the dead.

I miss you guys, each time I think of you incredible patriots, tears roll down my eyes, I am crying while I’m writing this.

The sacrifices you made that not a single Nigerian soul recognised or appreciated.

The befitting burial Nigeria denied you icons is something that I will never forget. You all are in my heart forever.

A National Hero, ‘Wonder Boy’ Paul Hamilton (Coach) is no more with us. Since you’ve been gone, I know you have hooked up with Amodu Shaibu who can assist you to organize a potent national team yonder with materials like Rashidi Yekini, Stephen Keshi, Osaro Obabaifo, Bala Ali, Thompson Oliha, Wilfred Agbonavbare, Uche Okafor, Sam Okwaraji, all players and my teammates that were once under your tutelage.

You were A National Hero, you played and coached the National Team, Men and Women. You also gave me my first cap in Ethiopia in 1986 and I will never forget your choice of words to crown my Debut with a glorious Boost. Rest peacefully. May God bless the dead.

THESE WERE YOUR WORDS WHEN YOU HANDED ME MY DEBUT.

You handed me my First Cap in Addis Ababa. You told me, ‘You’re starting as our Top Striker, go and show the world what a great footballer you are.’

That meant the world to me, coming from such an extraordinary countryman.

I have not forgotten that moment and I will never forget it. Rest peacefully, icon.
