American multinational footwear manufacturing company, Nike has rewarded Super Eagles’ winger Samuel Chukwueze with a fresh four-year contract following his impressive performances.
Chukwueze said he is happy with the deal and it will only continue to motivate him to work harder in order to land improve deals.
“I have signed a new deal with Nike and it’s four years, I’m so happy to sign another deal with Nike and that means I need to keep working more deal.”
Chukwueze is undoubtedly one of the young players in Europe and was listed among the top 50 players expected to conquer the world by the year 2022 according to UEFA.
The 19-year-old who made his debut for the yellow submarine in September 2018, has already scored four goals in 13 matches for La Liga side and assisted Santi Cazorla’s opening goal in their 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Thursday.
“It was a great feeling being in the field (against Real Madrid) with some world-class players and performing greatly; I’m so happy,”
The former U-17 world cup winner who reportedly has a release clause of 40 million Euros on contract with Villarreal is one of the players Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr is banking on to help the nation win the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
