NWPL Super 4 Shocker! Danjuma admits Amazons showed no Cup final Mentality

Christopher Danjuma has defended his team’s performance after they were shocked in the final of the NWPL Super 4 by Bayelsa Queens insisting they were not complacent, although he questioned their mentality.

Nasarawa Amazons were the defending champions of the league and also favorites against Bayelsa, however, the minnows upset the apple cart snatching a 2-0 victory.
Danjuma said there was the general lack of the Cup final mentality and it cost his side.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons and Pitea IF of Sweden defender Faith Ikidi has stated that the series of invitational tours and friendlies earmarked for the women national team is an indication of the NFF’s seriousness and readiness to have the Super Falcons adequately prepared for the FIFA women’s world cup in France.
Faith Ikidi speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the tour of China was a great experience for the team with a defeat and a victory recorded.
The Swedish based player added that the team is already looking forward to the Cyprus cup which she believes will even afford the team the opportunity to put to use the experience gathered in the China Invitational.
The Nigeria women national team are housed in group A alongside host nation France, South Korea, and Norway.
