Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen scored twice in Sporting Charleroi’s 3-2 home victory over Zulte Waregem, in a Belgian Jupiler league match on Sunday.
Christian Benavete opened the scoring for Sporting Charleroi a minute into the half time when finished emphatically from inside the penalty area.
However, the visitors grew into the game in the second half and got themselves back in the Hamdi Harbaoul scored from penalty spot in the 73rd minutes and added the second ten minutes later to put his in a driving seat for all three points.
Zulte Waregem’s lead only lasted for three minutes as Osimhen got his team second goal of the game in 86th minutes and added the third with the last kick of game as he finished Christian Benavete’s pass beautifully to earn the maximum points for his side .
The goals brings Osimhen’s tally for the league season to four in his 6 appearances for the Belgian side since joining on loan from Wolfsburg.
Charleroi are 8th on the log with 16 from 11 game. They take on Gent next, The tie is scheduled for 26 October.
