Kano Pillars Head Coach Ibrahim Musa has reacted to claims he could get the sack following Aiteo Cup Final fiasco in Asaba, stating firmly he’s not AFRAID.
Pillars turned over a 3-0 advantage in the second-half; with less than thirty minutes to the final whistle, and went on to lose 4-2 on Penalties to Rangers, and the Coach blamed his players for not playing to instructions in the second-half.
Although he admits he’s still flabbergasted by the outcome, Musa told Cornerstonenewsng.comthat he won’t fight to prove his worth.
“It was a very surprising results to us all because I told my players during half time break that they must not relax because football is not decided by the outcome of the first half.”
The Coach also expressed regrets over unforeseeable injuries that robbed the team of some vital players in the very crucial moments of the match.
“I was not happy when we started having injury issues and I will say it was among the reasons we lost, We are disappointed by the outcome of the match because it was our desire to win the competition but we must take everything that comes our way as the will of Allah.”
Kano Pillars had since declared two weeks break for the players but insists only the players needed by the Club will be ask to return to the pre season camp.
