Rivers United midfielder Peter Ubakanma says his team will come out for all three points against unbeaten Remo Stars in the rescheduled Nigeria professional football league match at Yakubu Gowon stadium in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
The Pride of Rivers defeated MFM 1-0 at weekend and will be hoping to record another win in order to continue their impressive run.
While speaking ahead of the game Ubakanma told Brila.net’s Seyi Alao that his side is fired up and will do everything to get the maximum points in front of their home crowd.
“Remo Stars are a good side but With the confidence and good spirit of my team, for now, we are sure of another three points because we are playing our home ground and our fans will be behind us.”
The Stanley Eguma-led side have now gone 3 matches unbeaten in the last three games including impressive draws against Niger Tornadoes and Sunshine Stars away from home and Ubakama believes their form will be crucial in the game.
“We are on three games unbeaten run and we aren’t not ready to slow down, our morale is high and we are really focused on getting the job done,”
And with the Victory of our last home game, We are Tactically and physically ready for today’s game,”
“And my expectations is to perform very well and score the goal in today’s game .” He concluded.
Rivers United are third on the NPFL Group B table with five points from three games.
