Surprise names in Nigeria 18-man list for Liberia Friendly

Ikechukwu Ezenwa will return between the sticks for Nigeria when the Super Eagles play Liberia’s Lone Star in an international friendly on Tuesday in Monrovia.

Ezenwa last featured for the Eagles eight months ago in the African Nations Championship semi-final match against Sudan.

 

Tuesday’s friendly will also see the recall of Enyimba FC attacker, Mfon Udoh; who makes up a quartet of players from the NPFL to join the rest of squad for the friendly.

 

According to a press statement by the Nigeria FA, the match is in celebration of Liberian President, former World Footballer of the Year George Oppong Weah.

 

The match is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the 35,000–capacity Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
