Tuesday’s CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final victory over Cameroon has embolden the Super Falcons chase for a 9th title and Head Coach Thomas Dennerby is confident it will happen.
The Falcons reached the final following a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win over the Indomitable Lioness after a goalless result in regulation time.
Speaking in his post-match presser Dennerby declared the team will celebrate, but also prepare for Saturday’s final against South Africa.
‘For now we celebrate and prepare for the final match on Saturday. We are happy that we have won the game and picked one of the three tickets to the world cup. Now, the next target is retaining the trophy.’
