U20 AFCON – Etim Esin charges Flying Eagles to go all out against hosts Niger

Ahead of their final group game at the ongoing AFCON U-20 championship in Niger, former international, Etim John Esin has said he believes the Flying Eagles have learned from their draw against South Africa and are very prepared to do battle against Niger later today.

The former midfield player of AA Gent and Lokeren in Belgium expressed confidence in a chat with www.brila.net that the team has what it takes to fight and ensure victory, as he strongly believes the most important thing is the result after 90 minutes.

“It’s not just about talking tough, it’s about getting a good result. I strongly believe that at the end of the day, its all about 90 minutes, that is what matters in football.

“I strongly believe the lads will get a good result as it remains all about getting a good result in today’s encounter.

The Flying Eagles need just a point to confirm their progression to the semifinals and also book one of the four world cup tickets, whilst a defeat could be disastrous, especially if South Africa defeats Burundi in the other group game.

Nigeria however currently top Group A with four points from their opening two games, two points ahead of Niger and South Africa who both have two points each.
