The Ugandan national team has arrived safely in Lagos and will now head straight to Asaba ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against the Super Eagles.
Both teams booked their place in in the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations tournament in Cameroon last Saturday.
Uganda Cranes led Group L with 13 points, way ahead of second-placed Lesotho who have five points just like Tanzania, but with a superior goal difference, while Cape Verde has four points.
Nigeria lead Group E with 10 points from five games, while the Uganda Cranes also booked a place in the group stages of the competition with a 1-0 home win over Cape Verde at Namboole Stadium on Saturday in a Group L clash.
The three-time African champions are making a return to the Africa Cup of Nations after missing out on two occasions just as the Uganda Cranes secured their qualification for the first time in 40 years.
Eighteen players, as well as other football officials, are in the Uganda contingent hoping to test their talents against the Nigeria national team.
