Why I won’t contest any ‘Political office’ in 2019 Elections – Yobo

Former Super Eagles Captain Joseph Yobo has revealed the exact reason he won’t be contesting for any political office in the 2019 General Elections.

 

Yobo was capped 101 times for Nigeria between 2001 and 2014 and says he will not be running for political office in 2019 even though he is open to the idea of running in future.

 

Speaking on Brila FM, The most capped Nigerian International who is widely traveled, who has played for Olympique Marseille, Everton, Norwich City, and Fernabache had joined the Peoples Democratic Party earlier in 2018.

 

“The former Everton skipper says former World Footballer of the year and African Legend George Weah has started a movement worth emulating”.

 

“Weah tried and failed, went to school came back and ran for office as Senator and now he’s the President of Liberia, Yobo said on brila FM.

 

‘I’m open to running for office, but I have only just decided to not contest in 2019. I want to see how things go, but I am certainly not ruling out anything in future,’ He concluded.
