Former Akwa United assistant coach Aliyu Zubairu has signed a year contract (with option of another year) with Wikki Tourists, to become their new technical adviser for the 2018/2019 season.
Zubairu who worked as an assistant to Abdul Maikaba at Akwa United replaces Bala Nikyu at the Bauchi based club.
This is the first time Zubairu will be number one at any club, having worked as number two to veteran Kadiri Ikhana and former Kwara United Boss John Obuh in the past.
Zubairu’s , who the 2017 Aiteo Cup with Akwa United, first task at the club is to keep them in the top flight.
