2019 AITEO Cup: Tornadoes goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko accepts fate

Niger Tornadoes Captain Mustapha Aliko has stated that there is no point playing the blame game after his side fell short once again in a penalty shoot out defeat in the final of the 2019 Federation cup against Kano Pillars same way they missed out two season ago against Akwa united.
Aliko speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid admittedly it was painful to have lost out of the trophy once again in the final but nothing can be done now other than to hope for better luck next time.
He said his teammates gave a good fight against a side that is better in playing personnel but just unlucky in the shoot out session.
“We lost, I don’t want to blame any player. We all tried our best possible to see that we get the trophy back to Minna but that’s the will of God. We have to go back to the drawing board and plan again for next season.
It wasn’t easy anyway, Pillars are one of the best in Nigeria and they did well and have more matured players and at the end of the day we lost. we hope to be next time lucky.” Aliko concluded.
