2019 Federation cup final – Aliko says Tornadoes will upset Pillars

Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper and Captain Mustapha Aliko has stated that the Minna based league side will be out in Sunday’s Federation cup final against Kano Pillars to cause an upset with the strong belief that they do have what it takes to go the extra mile and win the Federation cup title.

Aliko speaking in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid they are aware that Kano pillars will be seen by many as favourites to win but that this won’t deter them from coming out even as underdog to cause an upset against their more illustrious rival and beat the league runners up to the Federation cup title.
“The FA cup people tag us as under dog but by the special grace of God, we are going to surprise many people. We have young boys who are ready to make a name for themselves. So I strongly believe the boys would do well for themselves.
The smaller team do pull surprises at times, so I know in the final people we tag is as under dog but we are going to surprise many.”
