3 thugs charged for shooting 6 persons in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State has charged three suspected land thugs to court in connection with the last Thursday shooting of six persons in the Igbesa area of the state.

The suspects: Muibi Adewale Taofeek Ogunleye and Kamoru Ayodele were on Wednesday arraigned before an Agbara Magistrate Court, presided over by Magistrate BO Iloh

The Ogun police accused the arrested suspects and others at large of arming themselves with dangerous weapons and invading the Ogun community on the 25 of October 2021 and shooting six persons

The police in the charge against the accused person said

” That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on or before 25/10/2021 in Akinwunmi area, Igbesa in the Agbara Magisterial District did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: armed robbery, and thereby committed an offense contrary to Section 6(b) and punishable under section 1(2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearm Special Provision Act Cap R11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 .”

Also that “That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on or before 25/10/2021 at Ideyijo village in Akinwunmi area via gbesa in the aforementioned Magisterial District did rob Sunday Okere of Techno phone valued at fifty thousand naira (#50 000 ) and at the time of the robbery, you were armed with offensive weapons to wit: gun cutlass and sticks and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 1(2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearm Special Provision Act Cap R 11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 .”

” That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did rob Jimoh Musibau of his Techno Spark 5 phone, valued at fifty-five thousand naira (#55 000 ) and the sum of seventy thousand naira ( #70 000 ) at the time of the robbery, you were armed with offensive weapons to wit: gun cutlass and sticks and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 1(2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearm Special Provision Act Cap R 11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 .”

The police also added,

” That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did rob Idris Hamzat m of his chain valued at three hundred thousand naira (#300 000 ), the sum of one hundred and twenty thousand naira, cash, unregistered Honda motorcycle valued at two hundred and seventy thousand naira (#270 000 ) at the time of the robbery, you were armed with offensive weapons to wit: gun cutlass and sticks and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 1(2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearm Special Provision Act Cap R 11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 .”

The police also said,

“That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on or before 25/10/2021 in Akinwunmi area, Igbesa in the Agbara Magisterial District did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit: murder and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under section 324 of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

“That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on 25/10/2021 at about 02:00 am at Idejiyo village in Akinwunmi area, Igbesa in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill one Sunday Okere m age 35 yrs by firing gunshots at his two legs and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

Also

” That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill Jimoh Musibau, m age 30 yrs by firing gunshots at hands, side and buttock and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

The police also accused the defendants of

‘That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill Idris Hamzat, m age 35 yrs by firing gunshots at hands, thigh and chest and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

‘That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill Quadri Akande m age 22 yrs by firing gunshots at stomach, legs, and hands and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

Also

“That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill Jimoh Oloyede m age 36 yrs by firing gunshots at his back of the head and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006 .”

The police in Ogun State also added that

” That you Muibi Adewale,m, Taofeek Ogunleye,m, Kamoru Ayodele,m and others still at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District did unlawfully attempt to kill Akeem Soneye m age 50 yrs by firing gunshots at his back and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 320 (1)(2) of the Criminal Code Law of Ogun State of 2006.

The presiding Magistrate adjourned the case to the 6th of January 2022 and ordered the accused person to be detained at the Ilaro Correctional Centre before the next adjournment.
