La Liga ready to support female football and other sports in Nigeria

The Spanish La Liga has revealed they are ready to go beyond men football and support women football along with other sports in Nigeria through its world projects and initiatives for the overall development of sports and youths.

La Liga delegates in Nigeria include; Managing Director LaLiga Nigeria; Javier Del Rio, Delegate; Guillermo Perez Castello and Media and Communications Coordinator; Ayodeji  Adegbenro revealed the plan in Lagos at a media chat.

 

it would be recalled that the Spanish League Body and Nigeria Football Federation signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) years back to expose some Nigeria based players and coaches to modern football facilities and training in Spain.

 

“We are ready to do more, for Nigerians,” Javier Del Rio said while reeling on the need to extend the initiative to other sports in 2019.

 

“We are ready to work with sports grounded  Non-Government Organisation (NGO), youth-centered society and state and federal government inclusive in the bid to give more for all-round sports support in Nigeria beyond football.”

 

“We are all supporting and considering female football. All these are still in the offing for next year,” he added.

 

La Liga Ambassador, Mutiu Adepoju who played for Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in his playing days was present at the event which also saw the Spanish League unveiled a Fantasy Football App to Nigerians.
