Bryan Idowu not Smiling, but Lokomotiv Moscow keep title dreams Alive

Second placed Lokomotiv Moscow kept the chase for the Russia Premier League title and a UEFA Champions League playoff spot alive on Saturday with a narrow 1-0 win over Dynamo Moscow, and forgotten Super Eagles, Bryan Idowu checked 90 minutes in the game.

Idowu, who last played for Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia, was an unused substitute in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya and South Africa in 2018.

Nonetheless, the 26 year-old left-back has seen his fortunes at club level improve slightly in 2019, playing 233 minutes in all competitions.

Saturday was another good hunting for the former Amkar man, who has made just 7 league appearances this season.
