Super Eagles Unity in Ismailia camp excites Omeruo

Super Eagles and Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Josiah Omeruo has revealed that he remains happy as well as pleased with the closeness amongst the players and technical crew members in Ismail ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Senegal.

After a goalless draw against Zimbabwe in Asaba, Gernot Rohr and the Eagles landed in Ismaila since the start of the week, and will battle Senegal in their last build-up game this weekend, June 16, before traveling to Alexandria where they will play all their group B games.

Speaking ahead of the match to www.brila.net, Omeruo also added that the players of the team are looking to win the match irrespective of whether it’s a friendly or not.

“The team has been amazing, you know, the unity in the camp, the closeness with the officials and coaches has been wonderful that is why it tells on the pitch as well, the unity, togetherness, it’s very obvious”.

“It doesn’t matter if you are playing or not, everyone has the success of the team at heart. We want to win the game, we are the Super Eagles, we can do it”.

Nigeria will begin their campaign for a fourth AFCON title against Burundi at the Alexandria stadium in June 22.
