Abara faults Tornadoes decision to overhaul squad ahead Continental sojourn

Former coach of relegated NPFL side Niger Tornadoes Hamzat Abara has faulted the timing of the club’s decision to embark on squad overhaul ahead of the team’s participation in the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation cup.

Abara who guided the team to the Federation cup semi-final before been replaced by Abubakar Bala said in a chat withCornerstonenewsng.comthat the action would prove counterproductive dropping more than half of the team that earned the continental tickets as they will find it hard to gel together ahead of their continental challenge.
“Almost 95 percent of the players were dropped. I’m afraid from the look of things, Tornadoes will be parading new players and 9 days is not enough for them to prepare. This is the continent. These are Continental matches loading, not friendly matches. I think this is a very bad decision they took.”
