Ukraine head coach Andriy Shevchenko has disclosed that he will have to rotate his squad ahead of the friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday.
The European will welcome the three-time African champions to the Dnipro Stadium on Tuesday, after their 3-0 win over Lithuania 3-0 in European Championship qualifiers on Saturday.
Shevchenko hinted that his side will be training for the first time on Monday after a long trip back from Lithuania, and after assessing the players, he will make decisions on the starting eleven.
“We will look at the reaction of the players. Still, the coverage was completely different. We will analyze how the muscles of the players react,” Shevchenko said.
“After our training in Dnipro, we will decide on the players that will take to the field. I have the opportunity to give playing time to those players that did not play against Lithuania. I think you’ll see more of these names in the lineup.
Meanwhile, the meeting between the Ukraine national team and the Super Eagles will be first between both sides at the senior level.
