The Senator representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has assures Nigerians of the independence of the Assembly Senator Ubah, said the Senate was performing beyond expectations as it has achieved some feats that were not done several years ago.

The CEO of Capital Oil who was speaking at the 2019 Harvest celebration at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Anglican Church, GRA, Ikeja Lagos, said that he was a committed worshipper of God because he believed in Him.

“I believe in God’s existence and I also believe in giving back to God through Harvest programs like this because He is the giver of life,”

he said.

Speaking on the performance of the Senate, Ubah said the Senate could not be described as a rubber stamp, because in the last 20-years, the senate was not able to bring out N1.5billion fund that has always been there and nobody ever touched until this present Assembly.

“ That was the first and the fastest bill in the Senate so far and the bill that is going to give Nigeria N1.5billion every year; so how can that come from a rubber stamp Senators? The Senate is working so hard to serve Nigerians and make our country great”.

He further added that the passage of the Freedom Of Speech Bill by the National Assembly is a gradual thing that will eventually be done. “ I agree that the bill is one that should be passed expeditiously and I am sure that by the grace of God, it’s going to be passed, Ubah Concluded.
