As the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season is set to kick-off on Sunday 3rd of November, Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi forward Sikiru Alimi is bracing himself up for the new season.
Alimi, who scored four goals in four matches for the Super Eagles B team in the CHAN qualifiers and WAFU Cup, has expressed optimism saying his team will do well in the league.
“I am just gearing up for the new season.
“I want to do well with Lobi in the league. We are keen on doing well in the league, hopefully, things will work out well for us.”
Lobi Stars are up against Plateau United away from home in their season opener on Sunday.
The Pride of Benue will do well this season and return to the CAF Champions league next season.
