Sodiq Umar hits 17th goal of the season for Partizan Belgrade

Nigeria forward Umar Sodiq was on target for his club Partizan Belgrade in their league win over Mladost Lucani in Saturday’s Serbian Super Liga.

 

Partizan Belgrade took the lead in the 12th minutes of the game, thanks to former Liverpool man Lazar Markovic.

 

Japanese star Takuma Asano doubled Partizan’s advantage seven minutes later with another fine finish.

 

Mladost Lucani then reduced the deficit four minutes later through their Nigerian import Obiora Odita, before Sadiq restored his side’s two goals lead in the 62nd minutes.

 

The former Dream Team VI striker scored from a spot-kick and took his tally to 17 goals for the season in all competitions in the process.

 

Sodiq was substituted four minutes after his goal, but Filip Stevanovic added that the fourth goal for the home side to completed the rout.
