Josh Okogie inspired Nigeria’s 86-73 points win over host nation China, to finish as Africa’s best team at the World Cup and automatically book a ticket for the 2020 Olympic Games in China.
Okogie scored a team high 14 points and posted a +24 efficiency rating on Sunday to at the Guangzhou Gymnasium to ensure D’Tigers return to the Asian continent next year.

Sunday’s victory means Nigeria picked up three wins; defeating South Korea , Ivory Coast (83-66) and China (73-86), on their way to sealing the Olympic ticket.
D’Tigers thus finish 17th in the classification rounds.
