Police rescue girl,15 from 10 years solitary confinement in Kano

The Police have rescued a 15-years-old-girl, Aisha Jibrin from 10 years of solitary confinement.

The victim, a resident of Daeerewa Quarters in the Fagge Local Government Area of Kano, was held in forced confinement in a room for 10 years.

She was denied access to proper medical care and feeding by her biological parents, Mohammed Jibrin, and her wife, Rabi Mohammed, said the police.

A statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Tuesday explained that the victim, following her freedom, was rushed to Murtala Specialists Hospital, Kano by detectives and officials of the Commands medical team.

The statement added that the 35- years- old mother to the victim had been picked up while noting that efforts were in progress to arrest the father of the victim who is currently at large.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police in the state, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, has ordered that the case be transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department for discrete investigation.
