Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen fired blank as newly promoted side Lecce held Napoli 1-1 in the Italian Serie A on Wednesday.
Osimhen, who has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United, was searching for his third goal of the season for the Partenopei, but Lecce defence stood firm to deny him.
It was a game to forget for Osimhen as he failed to register a shot on target, despite playing the entire minutes of the match.
Osimhen attempted two (2) shots and both went way off target, he also spurned two big chances and he was also caught offside three (3) times.
Napoli took the lead three minutes before the half hour mark through Elif Elmas, who combined with Matteo Politano.
The visitors however leveled three minutes later, with a screamer from Lorenzo Colombo – who had missed a penalty earlier on.
The game ended in a draw as Lecce left the Diego Maradona Stadium with a point.
