Abdullahi Vows To Come Back Stronger From Hamstring Injury

Super Eagles right back Shehu Abdullahi has vowed to come back stronger from the hamstring injury he sustained in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Burundi on Saturday.

Abdullahi endured an injury ravaged season for his Turkish base team, but he recovered in time to be included in Super Eagles final23 man squad for the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

However, the former Anothorsis Famagusta of Cyprus defender suffered injury with few minutes into the Super Eagles opener against the Swallows, before been replaced by Chidozie Awaziem.

Abdullahi, took to his social to reveal, he will be back on the field soon and urged Nigerians to keep supporting the team.

Following, the victory over Burundi, Nigeria is sitting on top of Group B with three points.

 

Guinea and Madagascar are locked on a point each and they occupies second and third place respectively.

Burundi remains at the bottom of the Group with no point.
